The Oakley 20 hoodie will be available to finishers only and will be available for collection from the race headquarters after the completion of the race. You will need your race number to collect your hoodie. When you register for the race, you will be asked to select the size of hoodie you require. When you collect your hoodie, you will be given the hoodie of the size you chose at registration only. No dialogue will be entered into on the subject. If you decide you require another size hoodie, neither the Oakley 20 organisers or Bedford Harriers are able to source another size. For registrations after 8th March 2020 it will not be possible to select the desired size of hoodie. We will have a selection of the iconic hoodie sizes available and do our utmost to accommodate all finishers with the appropriate size.
Oakley 20 CancelledTo all Oakley 20 entrantsThank you for entering Oakley 20 2020 and it is a real shame that we have not been able to put the race on this year, it is however clear the decision to postpone was the right one. Since postponing, we have been working on what happens next. In some respects that has been made easy for us as Lincroft Academy, our HQ, refused to accept any bookings until at least its return sometime after Easter. We would really need to start the preparation now to have everything in place for September 2020, therefore there is no point preparing without the certainty of a HQ.We have decided, therefore that there will be no Oakley 20 in 2020, but we look forward to Oakley 20 in 2021.All entrants have three choices:1. Defer entry to 20212. Request a refund of 80% of the entry fee – while we were able to mitigate some expense, others we could not and as a not for profit organisation we have shared a proportion with each entrant.3. Relinquish your entry fee to help Bedford Harriers cover all the sunk costs associated with the race and we could not mitigate – to which we thank you.All entrants have received an email today explaining these options, the process and timescales to decide and to respond to the email so that we can close out your chosen option. If its not in your inbox, please check your spam. The Oakley 20 2020 hoodies were never printed; therefore, they do not exist, which is a shame.I would like to thank all entrants for your patience on this matter and hope to see you fit and well in March/April 2021.Chris CappsRace Director
